CALCUTTA, OCT 16: Sprint queen PT Usha once again defied age to pick up two gold 8212; one individual and one in relay 8212; on the second day of the 64th Inter-Railways Athletics Meet at the Salt Lake Stadium today. The day also saw a rare happening in which all the top four finishers of the women8217;s triple jump bettered the existing mark.

Triple jumper Monisha Dey of Eastern Railway leaped to a distance of 12.58 mts as against Southern Railway8217;s Promila8217;s 12.37 mts to win the gold. Kalpana Das, also of the Eastern Railway followed with 12.26 mts. Dey8217;s jump convincingly erased Anju Kumari Markose8217;s mark of 12.13 mts in 8217;95-8217;96.

The Southern Railway men8217;s 4x400m team created a meet record with a timing of 3:12.6 secs. The third record of the day was in the 400m for men in which Lijo David of Southern Railway completed the distance in 47.40 seconds.
