
NEW DELHI, May 1: The Uttar Pradesh Government today asked the Supreme Court to reconsider its order directing shifting of industries in the Taj trapezium in respect of those units which had been able to achieve pollution control standards.
The plea was made by the Attorney General Soli Sorabjee during the hearing of the Taj pollution cases before a Division Bench comprising Justice S C Aggarwal and Justice Saghir Ahmad.
Following the submission, the court in a brief order directed the government to file within four weeks, an affidavit listing the industries which had set up air pollution control devices and achieved the standards.
