NEW DELHI, SEPTEMBER 7: Anuj Uppal blanked Mukul Bajaj 5-0 in the final of the second Masters being played as part of the Pepsi Cool Pool Play-Offs which finished at Vertex Match Point, Kalkaji. Amit Sharma lost to Anuj 3-2 in the first semifinal while former National junior snooker champion Siddharth Anand lost the other semis 3-4 to Mukul.

In a field of 128 playerrs, the event was divided into two stages. Eight players qualified from stage one to meet 24 players seeded directly into stage two to make a field of 32 players. These 32 players played best of five straight knockout format to decide the winners. The final was a best of nine affair.

The eight players who qualified were Sachin Dang, Gagandeep Singh, Pawan Dyes, Winston Lee, Gaurav Dewan, Honey Chadda, Vijay Kushwaha and Sushant.Siddharth Anand was in good form, going by his performance in the earlier rounds. He beat Ripu Daman 3-0 in the first round, Rahul Chaudhary 3-2 for the pre-quarters and US Chadda in the quarters before being a surprise loser to Mukul in the semis.

Anuj had a tough semifinal against Amit Sharma before he finally prevailed 3-2 in a cliff-hanger. Amit Sharma had a tough draw, with no player letting him score comfortable wins. Amit beat Sushant 3-1, Sunny Chadda 3-2 and Sanjay Dutt 3-1. Karan Sharda scored a first round win over Vipin Mahajan 3-2, but was clearly beaten 0-3 by Sandeep Betala in the second round.
