Arjun Singh, the self-styled champion of the minorities, is finding that his appeal seems to be waning. On Saturday, the Human Resource Development Minister went for a conference organised by a minority NGO. His publicity machinery wasn8217;t involved in the event, neither was his official PR kept in the loop about it. When he arrived for the 10 am inauguration at the Islamic Cultural Centre, Singh was greeted by many empty seats. Soon after the inaugural ceremony, he left, although his deputy minister M A A Fatmi stayed on. Reality check for Mr Singh?
