Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharti who was admitted to a private hospital here last night, was shifted to Bombay Hospital today for further check-ups.

Around 10.15 a.m, she was brought to Mumbai in a car and a physician from Bhopal was called to treat her. Dr Manoj Chopra, who examined her at the Rajebahadur hospital here, told mediapersons that her ECG was normal and she had been advised rest.

He said there was no serious problem except fatigue and backache because of spondylitis. Her blood pressure is normal, he added.

Bharti was on her way from Aurangabad to Virar in Thane district on Thursday to address an election rally when she complained of vertigo, nausea and chest pain.

The helicopter, which was flying over Ahmednagar district, landed near Akole and she was brought to Nashik by road. Around 10.10 pm. she was admitted to Rajebahadur Hospital.
