JBL has announced new additions to its long-running Endurance lineup, unveiling five new audio products designed specifically for athletes and fitness-focused users. Revealed ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026 to be held in Las Vegas from January 6-9, the updated range signals JBL’s strongest push yet into performance-driven sports audio, with new designs that emphasise durability, stability and situational awareness.

The refreshed Endurance family includes the JBL Endurance Zone, Endurance Peak 4, Endurance Pace, and Endurance Run 3, covering everything from fully wireless earbuds to open-ear and wired options. At the centre of the announcement is the Endurance Zone, which marks a first for the company as its debut open-ear sports headphone.

Focus on fit, powerful sound, durability

JBL says the new lineup has been engineered for people who train hard and demand audio gear that can keep up. Across the range, the company says its focus is on secure fits, rugged construction as well as powerful sound, while offering multiple factors to suit different training styles and environments. As per JBL, the aim is to let users move freely without sacrificing audio output.

Company executives describe the Endurance series as a cornerstone of JBL’s sports audio strategy. By introducing open-ear designs alongside traditional in-ear models, the brand is seeking to give athletes more control over how they balance immersion and awareness during workouts, outdoor runs or recovery sessions.

The Endurance Zone represents the biggest shift in the lineup. Built with JBL’s OpenSound technology, the earbuds are designed to deliver strong bass while allowing users to remain aware of their surroundings. The open-ear approach minimises sound leakage and avoids blocking the ear canal, a feature aimed at runners and cyclists training outdoors. The earbuds feature flexible liquid silicone hooks and memory wire to maintain a stable fit during intense activity.

Durability has also been factored in, with the Endurance Zone carrying an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. JBL says the earbuds are built to handle sweat, rain and demanding conditions. Battery life is rated at up to 32 hours with the charging case, supported by fast charging for quick top-ups. Call quality is handled by a four-microphone system, while full control customisation is available through the JBL Headphones app.

For users who prefer a more traditional in-ear design, the Endurance Peak 4 sits at the top of JBL’s lineup. The newest version builds on the Peak series with upgraded drivers and the addition of Adaptive Noise Cancelling, allowing wearers to shut out distractions. When awareness is needed, JBL’s Smart Ambient features make it easier to hear what’s happening nearby.

The Endurance Peak 4 also carries an IP68 rating and uses JBL’s TwistLock ear hook design to keep the earbuds secure, even during high-impact training. Spatial Audio support, multiple microphones for clearer calls and a long total battery life of up to 48 hours position the Peak 4 as a premium option for serious athletes.

Open-ear, wired options

JBL is broadening its range of open-ear products with the Endurance Pace. With its lightweight neckband and adaptable titanium memory wire, the Pace is engineered for comfort during extended workouts. Similar to the Endurance Zone, it utilises OpenSound technology to provide directional sound with minimal leakage, while ensuring awareness of the environment around. The Pace is rated IP68 as well and offers fast charging to prolong listening duration while travelling.

Completing the announcement is the Endurance Run 3, offered in USB-C and 3.5mm options, which delivers wired dependability and targets users who favour an uncomplicated solution. It boasts JBL’s Pure Bass Sound, resistance to sweat as well as water, and an ergonomic design meant to remain secure while exercising. Inline controls and integrated microphones enable hands-free calling and simple playback management.

JBL confirmed that the Endurance Zone, Endurance Peak 4 and Endurance Pace will go on sale in January 2026, while the Endurance Run 3 models will follow in February. With pricing spanning from entry-level wired earbuds to premium open-ear and noise-cancelling models, the expanded Endurance range reflects a strategy focused on offering performance audio for every type of active lifestyle.
