BHUBANESWAR, Dec 28: Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav today asserted that the United Front would form the government at the Centre after the ensuing general elections.

The tally of the United Front would go up by 60 to 70 seats while BJP would not be able to win even 100 seats, he told a news conference here.

Claiming that Samajwadi Party was the only political party which could arrest the growth of communal forces in the country, Yadav did not rule out the possibility of his party joining hands with Congress to defeat the Shiv Sena-BJP party combine in Maharastra. In states like Maharastra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan where the main contest would be between Congress and BJP, his party8217;s strategy would be to deny any advantage to BJP, he said. Yadav accused BJP of being 8220;a party of criminals, cheats and falsehood8221;.
