CHANDIGARH, May 5: A typist, who allegedly forged signatures of the District and Sessions Judge to raise his typing rates, has been booked for forgery.
Police sources said Gaurav Sharma, a typist at the district courts, allegedly prepared fake orders on behalf of the District and Sessions Judge. The orders said that the typing rates are being revised to Rs 10 per copy. Earlier, typists used to charge Rs 2 per copy and an additional Rs 1 and further 0.75 paise for the second and third copy, respectively.
The orders were pasted on the walls but it was found that the signatures of the judge were counterfeit. The police have registered a case against him.
