It has also sought financial assistance from industrial units in and around the city for the same.Appeal: Former Municipal Councillor and social worker Fateh Singh Rana has urged the Vadodara Municipal Corporation to widen the road between Motibaug and Jayratna Building up to 60 feet. In a letter to Municipal Commissioner G R Aloria, Rana has alleged that the work started several years ago to acquire land for widening the road was stalled for reasons unknown. He reminded that few years ago, two children and their grandfather were crushed to death by a speeding four-wheeler. While pointing out that the road saw heavy traffic as it lead to Polo Ground, a number of schools and the Khanderao Market, Rana has demanded that the road be widened at the earliest.
