
CHANDIGARH, Jan 7: The body of a man, believed to be in his sixties, was recovered from the Bapu Dham Colony this morning. The deceased has been identified as Gurdial Singh, a resident of Mangla Tanda village in Ludhiana district.
Another unidentified body of a man, aged around 45, was recovered from near the Sector 31 CII campus this morning. No injury marks were found on his body, according to police, who suspect he might have died because of the cold.
Police said Gurdial Singh had come to meet Joga Singh in Bapu Dham Colony and had left the house last evening, saying he was going out for a drink. His body was recovered from near a kerosene depot in the colony around 9 a.m. today.
