Two jailed for devotion to NTR

VIJAYAWADA, JUNE 30: Former minister G Muddukrishnama Naidu and Kankipadu MLA Devineni Rajasekhar Nehru along with 115 persons were today arrested when they 8220;anointed8221; with milk the statue of former chief minister N T Rama Rao, unveiled yesterday by Vice-President Krishan Kant and CM N Chandrababu Naidu. They were later released on bail.

Many Nehru followers thronged the NTR circle to 8220;sanctify8221; the NTR statue as 8220;it was defiled by the CM8217;s touch. Nehru and Muddukrishnama said it was unethical for Naidu and Krishan Kant to unveil NTR8217;s statue, after they 8220;dethroned him and even caused his death8221;, they alleged.
