Two elderly Indian-origin women were killed allegedly by a teenager in a care home in Leicester, about 100 km from London.

The two women have been identified as Rashni Badiani, 56 and Radhaben Chauhan, 72 who shared a room in the Hayes Park Nursing Home.

According to police, the initial post-mortem results showed that Badiani had suffered serious head injuries.

Her family said, “We cannot believe what has happened. We are still trying to come to terms with the fact that we will never get to see her beloved smile again.”

Radhaben’s family said she was a ‘beautiful, bright, warm person’.

The nursing home Director Suresh Kotecha said Badani had been at the home since December 2004, while Chauhan lived there since August this year.
