PUNE, MARCH 23: Two youths from Mumbai have been detained for their suspected involvement in Monday8217;s firing at two accounts officers from Tata Finances Ltd. A team of crime branch sleuths, who detained the duo early on Tuesday, brought them to Pune late in the night.

The Pune police had concentrated on the probable involvement of Mumbai mafia in after it was established that the get-away vehicle, a white colour 118 NE car, belongs to a resident of Dharavi.

A team of crime branch sleuths was sent to Mumbai last evening to grill the car owner Sunny Oseph for more details, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police Crime Ramrao Pawar.

During interrogations, Pawar said, Sunny Oseph has revealed that the vehicle was borrowed by one of his friend 8220;for visiting the pilgrim centre of Shirdi.8221;

In the wake of this revelation, the crime branch sleuths on Tuesday sent a separate team to Shirdi. Meanwhile, the Deccan Gymkhana police have began questioning the employees of Tata Finances in connection with the robbery.

A Tata Sumo driver, who took the company officials to deposit the cash with bank in his vehicle on daily basis, is being questioned by inspector in-charge of Deccan Gymkhana police station Ram Kondhalkar.
