Treasures in a trunk!

Guess who8217;s coming to town? Gaurav Gupta, Namrata Joshipura, Lecoanet Hemant, Siddarth Tytler, Prashant Varma to name a few. Hosting these A-list designers or at least their collections as part of a 8216;National Fashion Trunk Show8217; is city8217;s Nalini Sibal, also creative director of Kids Own. The one-day fashion extravaganza that rolls out this November 27 will showcase a stunning array of contemporary evening and day wear boasting of feminine silhouettes and western wear lines. Given that the weather8217;s turned, the trunk show will also present the Fall-Winter 2008 and Resort Collection. Interestingly, the show has been put together by fashion curator Shaan Thadhani, who has worked with numerous design houses the world over. Unveiling his design sensibilities, Thandani will bring to the city a matchless variety of selective designs that are hotting up the ramps in Mumbai and Delhi. 8220;I have always wished to bring this trunk show to Chandigarh as the city flaunts a profile of people who are well-travelled and are extremely fashion savvy. My collection includes evening, party and formal wear for both day and evening and a sexy selection of trendy casual wear. It8217;s both chic and contemporary for the woman of today,8221; spoke Thandani who breezes in to the city on Wednesday. The show will open its doors at Kids Own, Sector 17-D, Chandigarh, from 11 am to 7 pm on Thursday, November 27.
