Arjun Singh (Sunil Shetty) is a cop obsessed with the law. And he forces this obsession down law-breakers throats — weeding out narcotics peddlers and other dirty thugs. Senior officer Amar Agnihotri (Mohan Joshi), is all praise for Arjun’s achievements. And toeing her father’s line is Kajal (Raveena Tandon), who really admires Arjun’s brawn. That is their excuse for running around and singing songs.

Anyway, the valiant officer is sent to investigate the shady happenings in Lankeshwar’s (Danny) jail. The government suspects that he is involved in the illegal trade of arms. So, Arjun is sent to this jail as a convict charged with the murder of ACP Agnihotri. Within the four walls of prison, the battle between the law-abiding soldier/convict begins with the dirty jailer.

Don’t hold your breath trying to figure out who wins this struggle. In Bollywood,the hero who takes home the fatter check is the victor who walks off with the spoils.

Gopi (Govinda) and his mother live in a village in Banaras district. Apart from being the life and soul of the community, Gopi is also the village sarpanch. As for his matrimonial status, Gopi had been betrothed to his father’s best friend Chaube’s (Kader Khan) daughter even before she was born. Settled in Singapore, Chaube descends on the village when he decides that his wife Lily (Bindu) and daughter Madhu (Ramya) are getting too progressive. By hook or by crook, Madhu and Gopi get married and then the troubles begin. Soon there is talk of divorce and Madhu & mom storm back to Singapore. Gopi’s mother persuades her son to follow her bahu and Gopi heads for the East with his partner Manchala (Shakti Kapoor). Madhu & mom run to Nepal to escape their buffoonerybut there is no escaping Gopi. Finally, he tames the shrew and soon she becomes a Banarasi bahu.
