
Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Nasim Ashraf today asserted that the team8217;s tour to India will not be called off due to the imposition of emergency in the country. Ashraf, who is in Kuwait attending a meeting of the Asian Cricket Council, told PTI that the tour will go ahead as scheduled.
8220;The imposition of emergency will not affect the tour in any way. We are committed to completing the tour on schedule,8221; he said. He also rubbished media reports that the board and government were thinking of recalling the team because of the changed situation. 8220;There is no such proposal and the tour will be played as per schedule.8221; Ashraf said he had spoken to the team manager, coach and captain and told them to concentrate on cricket and give their best in the series.
