
A senior officer of Pakistan8217;s Intelligence Bureau was shot dead by unidentified gunmen near his home in the North West Frontier Province on Sunday. Intelligence Bureau Deputy Director Nisar Ahmad Khan was gunned down this morning at Shabqadar in Charsadda district while he was returning home after offering morning prayers at a mosque. The attackers opened fire at Khan from a car and then drove away from the scene. Khan, who was based in Peshawar and was at home for a holiday, was rushed to the provincial capital with serious wounds but succumbed to his injuries on the way. Police have launched a hunt for the assailants. On Sunday, around 32 people, including three security forces personnel, were injured in two separate incidents of sectarian violence in Pakistan8217;s North West Frontier Province. Nine civilians and three security forces personnel were injured when a mortar shell hit the gate of an imambargah.
