NEW DELHI, May 19: A Section of the employees of Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (Delhi) went on a token strike today. The employees are demanding that the deemed deputation status of Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited employees be brought to an end.The customer service centres, billing counters and fault repair services were affected at the Keshav Puram, Badli, Narela and Alipur exchanges. The cash counter at Khurshid Lal Bhavan also couldn't function because of the strike. According to MTNL officials, the international trunk services and directory enquiry were affected partially.
