Three Home Guards arrested

CHANDIGARH, Dec 18: Three Home Guards were arrested for allegedly assaulting and looting an Assistant sub-inspector yesterday. The home-guards 8212; Karamjit, Ravinder and Naveen 8212; have been charged under section 382 and 323 of IPC.

According to police sources, ASI Surinder Singh has complained that he and his wife were going on their motorcycle. While they were passing through Kishangarh village, these homeguards one after one another tried to waylaid them. While two homeguards did not succeed in their attempts, the third one pounced on them and Surinder Singh8217;s wife fell. They also snatched Rs 750 from the couple before making good their escape.
