Three held for robberies across city

Three people have been arrested for robbing Rs 17 lakh from an AP Securitrans van in Satya Niketan on November 18. Acting on a tip-off, the police arrested Mannan 24, the gang leader, from South Delhi. And based on leads provided by him, Raj Kumar 23, an employee with the security company, who provided the route details of the van and other information; and Suresh 35, who provided stolen vehicles to the gang, were also arrested. 8220;It8217;s an inter-state gang involved in over a dozen cases of robbery. The gang used to target vehicles transferring cash from one location to another,8221; a senior police officer said. Rs 2 lakh in cash, one 7.65 mm revolver and some stolen vehicles were recovered from the accused. The guards had brought the cash from their head office to their Satya Niketan office, when four unidentified men on black motorcycles wearing helmets snatched the cash. The police a search is for the fourth member. 8220;With these arrests, we have also solved 10 other cases of auto theft,8221; a senior police officer said.
