Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss8217; refusal to sign the certificates of students of AIIMS again came under the scanner of the Delhi High Court which made it plain that the minister should have no problem in signing the certificates.
8220;Once there is a ruling of this court the problem should have been worked out,8221; Justice S Ravindra Bhatt observed while hearing an application filed by two resident doctors, who complained that their certificates were not signed by the minister despite the court8217;s direction on Monday.
The judge8217;s observation came after the minister8217;s counsel Mukul Gupta maintained that the certificates of these students were not forwarded on time for signature.
On Tuesday, the minister had signed 49 certificates in compliance with the court and a group of 17 students complained that theirs have not been signed yet.
Earlier, the students had complained that despite spending ten years in the AIIMS they were at the mercy of the minister for getting their certificates.
8220;Any student can approach the President the minister with his certificate for the signature and it would be signed by him,8221; Gupta said adding, 8216;Let8217;s wait for the evening and everthing would be settled8217;.
He was apparently referring to the General Body Meeting of the AIIMS slated for the evening.
