Not that India’s participation at the G-20 summit is a problem for anyone, but Spain is feeling miffed at being left out. A Spanish journalist has been breathing down the MEA’s neck for an answer on India’s inclusion and Spain’s exclusion at the summit in Washington. Meanwhile, Spanish envoys in Delhi are spreading the word in South Block that their conservative banking system has actually survived the crisis unlike other European countries. In fact, they claim that some of their banks are now buying up smaller banks on the US west coast.
