MUMBAI, March 9: Tejaswi Shetty sunk two marks to claim the individual honours in the 27th Bombay-YMCA Open Swimming Meet that concluded at the YMCA pool yesterday.

Tejaswi8217;s display stood out in the two-day championship that witnessed five new meet records. She bettered her own 100 metre freestyle mark 1:04.38 in the under-14 category set last year with a timing of 1:03.59. The Juhu Vile-Parle JVP lass clocked 1:21.51 to improve upon Radhika Lakhani8217;s 100m breast stroke 1997 record 1:23.245 in the same category.

In the boys under-14 section, Riyad Palia of Otters Club submerged a six-year-old mark that stood in the name of Shane Pedder. He timed the 100m breastroke to 1:17.50 to best the old record of 1:18.38. Parikshit Shetty and Rehan Poncha set up an interesting tussle for supremacy in the boys under-12 section each setting up a new mark.
