Tehbazari team clears encroachments

In an interesting case, tehbazari team of municipal corporation today removed kundi connections of many rehri owners who used to set up sabzi mandi at the Aggar Nagar market. These rehri owners used to get direct electricity supply from nearby PSEB poles. Though this mandi has been cleared up many times before, the team once more cleared the rehris today.

At Ghumar Mandi, Area Councillor Gurpreet Gogi came to save the encroachers and entered in an heated argument with the team members. Later, a few encroachments were cleared by tehbazari team from outside some of the shops. But the rehris were soon back, once the team left from the spot.

Apart from this few rehris were picked from the Feroze Gandhi Market and Jail Road and an encroachment coming up near Luxmi cinema was also demolished. Councillor Rakesh Prashar had complained about this encroachment.
