PUNE, Dec 9: Over 3,000 junior college teachers from the Pune district will join the State-wide indefinite strike call given by Maharashtra State Junior College Teachers Federation from tomorrow to press for implementation of their demands.

They have been demanding the implementation of revised pay scales for junior college teachers recommended by the fifth pay commission. Speaking to The Indian Express working president of Pune divisional Junior College Teachers Association S B Kulkarni said two rounds of talks with the State Government had failed.
