In an unusual way of protest resembling a scene from the film Sholay, four teachers including two women in Jaipur on Tuesday climbed on to a 60 feet high water tank, demanding appointment letters from the Education department. The protesters who have been selected for jobs in government schools, carried a container full of kerosene oil and threatened to immolate themselves if their demands were not met. Police said hundreds of spectators gathered to watch the incident. District administration officials were trying to persuade them to get down when reports last came in.
