Tax man knocks at builder8217;s door

Taking serious note of sinking funds of the corporation, the department has undertaken a special drive to recover the arrears. The department so far has recovered a huge amount of arrears from a multi-national company, a hotel owner and also another prominent builder and a doctor.

The official sources said the department had recovered Rs 54 crore as against the target of Rs 73 crore. The sources said the department would succeed in achieving the target by the end of current financial year.
