MUMBAI, February 20: Tata Sports Club regained the KC Mahindra Cricket Shield after a gap of one year when they beat hosts Mahindra and Mahindra by eight wickets, within an hour on the second day of the two-day 90-over final at the Wankhede Stadium, on Friday.
Tatas, resuming at 114 for two and needing another 37 runs for a win, reached the target without losing a wicket. The overnight pair of left-hander Kiran Powar and Salil Vaidya added 48 runs for the unbroken third wicket.

Mahindras 151 in 55.1 overs lost to Tatas 152-2 in 41.1 overs (Vinayak Mane 43, Kiran Powar 52 n.o., Salil Vaidya 46 n.o.).
DOUBLE FOR SHERLA: Top seed Ravi Sherla of MTNL rallied splendidly to over come the challenge of second seed Naryana Vemula of MTNL 16-25, 25-15, 25-6 to win the men’s singles crown of the inaugural prize money tournament, organised by the Mumbai Andhra Mahasabha and Gymkhana at the Andhra Maha Sabha and Gymkhana, Dadar.
Sherla alongwith T Ravindra also won the doubles title defeatingTV Sudhakar and Digamber Saiva 25-10, 10-25, 25-15.
