Burns death
Ratnaben Manoj Parmar, 24-year old, succumbed to burn injuries here in the Maskati hospital on Thursday, according to the Chowk Bazaar police. She received burn injuries when a stove exploded, while she was cooking in her house in the Bharimata Bazaar area on Monday. A case under CrPC 174 has been registered, the police added.

Vehicle thefts
Two vehicles were stolen from the Varachha area on Wednesday night, bringing the total number of vehicles stolen from the area in the past week to seven. Rameshbhai Patel, a resident of C K Park Society in the Varachha area, in a complaint registered in the Varachha police station has stated that that his Hero Honda motorcycle (GJ 5 L 3570) was stolen from the parking space of his apartment. In another case, Nanjibhai Patel of Khodiyarnagar reported to the police that his black Hero Honda motorcycle (GJ 5 S 4785) was stolen by some unidentified person from the parking lot of his apartment. Cases under section 379 of the IPC have been registered and are being investigated, the police said.

Four beaten
Dahyabhai Ahir, his brother Prafulbhai Ahir, and two other members of his family were beaten up by seven people, armed with sticks, pipes and other weapons. According to a case registered in the Katargam police station, one Rajubhai Soni’s wife was slightly injured, when Prafulbhai Ahir hit her. In an argument, which followed later, Soni, his wife with five others returned with sticks and pipes and bashed up the four. A case has been registered and investigations are on, the police said.
