Central excise employee bags award
Kartik Mehta, a central excise employee based in Surat, bagged the third position in the singles table tennis tournament in the 31st All India Central Revenue Meet held recently in Chennai. Mehta is west zone table tennis champion.

Medical camp
The health department of the State government and the Surat Municipal Corporation will jointly hold an All-Disease Eradication Camp8217; in the slums of the city in March. Similar camps will be held in other towns of the South Gujarat as well.

Shock at death
Vadodara: Jordanian Students of M S University have expressed grief and shock over the death of King Hussein of Jordan. According to Hassan, a representative of the students, Jordanian students will meet at the Anumani Hospital, Fatehgunj Main Road, between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Tuesday to pay homage to the departed leader.

Trekking camp
The Dolphins Club, Vadodara, will organise a 10-day-long national trekking programme at Bhrigu lake near Manali, Himachal Pradesh, between May and June. Government employees are entitled to special leave to attend the camp as the programme has been approved by the Indian Mountaineering Foundation.
