PATIALA, March 3: Punjab Subordinate Services Federation INTUC has decided to intensify the ongoing agitation against the state government8217;s indifferent attitude towards the long-pending demands of its employees.

Satish Kumar Mariya, president of the Patiala unit of the body, said here today that a decision to this effect was taken during a meeting of the state unit held at Ludhiana.

He said that under the new programme all the federation members would wear black badges on March 5 and protest dharnas would be organised at district- level from March 12. On March 12 a dharna would be held in front of the office of the Patial deputy commissioner. On March 19 a dhrana would be held at Moga, on March 26 at Bathinda and on April 9 at Amritsar.

Anti-traders policies8217; flayed:Patiala Beopar Mandal has criticised the alleged anti-traders policies of the state government. Nirmal Dass Malhotra and Gulshan Singh Bedi, president and general secretary, respectively, of the Mandal said here today that the state government had failed to accept their demands and was instead following anti-traders policies.

They urged the government to abolish octroi and inspector raj to give relief to the traders.
