Guardian minister Ajit Pawar has warned industrialists, who hoard up land, to start construction within a specific time frame or face consequence of their land being taken back. Addressing a meeting of industrialists, at the Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture MCCIA on Friday, he was giving a hearing to the industrialists on the shortage of land in the district.

8220;Strict action should be taken against those who hoard up land for industrial purpose and do not use it for industrial purpose for a long period. A time frame needs to be worked out,8221; said Pawar at the meeting.

With the industrialists mentioning that there was hardly any land remaining in Pune and Mumbai for expansion, Pawar was candid enough to say that new industrialists should look at Supa in Ahmednagar and Khandala in Satara districts. 8220;There was no land remaining in the industrial zones of Kurkumb, Indapur and Baramati in the district,8221; he added.

Pawar said that Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd PMPML should have more buses. The meeting also took up the issues of shifting the garbage depot from Hadapsar and completion of the road from BG Shirke factory to Hadapsar. He however, assured the industrialists that all care would be taken to give the necessary benefits to them.
