Star children8217;s debut music albums launched

Aptly titled Footsteps8217;, the four debut albums are a part of the Music Today8217;s new generation series for the promotion of young and new talent. As singer Subha Mudgal, who has given her consultation to the series, said, the series would also launch those disciples who, though not belonging to a well-known gharana, have had their grooming under various maestros. The launch at Art Today gallery at Connaught Place saw quite a distinguished gathering including the two chief guests of the occasion, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan and Pt L.K. Pandit, Sunita Rastrapati Bhavan interior decorator8217; Kohli, besides Rekha and Aroon Purie. While Panditji presented the album to Amaan Bangash, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan gave the album to Meeta Pandit, both of whom then spoke of the need for encouraging other young musicians who have not been fortunate enough to be born into a musician8217;s family.
