SPS clinch U-16 inter-district tourney

Satluj Public School-4, registered a four-wicket win over Bhawan Vidyalya-15, in the finals of the U-16 inter-district cricket tournament to emerge as champions.

Panchkula:Satluj Public School-4, registered a four-wicket win over Bhawan Vidyalya-15, in the finals of the U-16 inter-district cricket tournament to emerge as champions. The tournament was organised by Haryana District Education Office Panchkula.

Batting first, Bhawan Vidyalya set a target of 109 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. From Satluj team, Vishwas Khatak grabbed four wickets for 17 runs.

In reply, Satluj School achieved the target in 18.1 overs losing 6 wickets.

Meanwhile, in the Under-14 finals, Little Flower Convent School-14, Panchkula, beat DPS, Pinjore by a huge margin of 100 runs to win the championship.

U-16: Bhawan Vidyalya: 109 for 8 in 20 overs Naman Parasher 25, Shubham 22 not out, Varun Kaushal 20, Vishwas Khatak 4 for 17, Sajit Nagrath 2 for 22, Harpreet Singh 2 for 25.

Satluj Public School: 110 for 6 in 18.1 overs Sajit Nagrath 32 not out, Gaurav Singh 27,Gaurav Tandon 25, Paras Luthra 3 for 21, Shubham Bharti 2 for 18.

U-14: LFCS: 168 all out in 16 overs Raghav 81 not out, Ketan 40, Kunal 2 for 12

DPS, Pinjore: 68 all out.

Delhi, Mumbai register wins

CHANDIGARH:Delhi registered five-wicket win over Tamil Nadu Senior National Twenty20 cricket championship in a match held at DAV-10 in Chandigarh on Friday.

In another match, Mumbai recorded 27-run win over Vidharbha.
