Special Parliament session on Jan 27

NEW DELHI, JAN 21: President K R Narayanan will address a special function of the two Houses of Parliament on January 27 to commemorate the golden jubilee of the Republic of India.

This was decided at an all-party meeting convened on Thursday by Rajya Sabha Chairman Krishan Kant and Lok Sabha Speaker G M C Balayogi.

Participants at the meeting included, among others, Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and Union Ministers Minister Pramod Mahajan and Ananth Kumar.
