CHANDIGARH, April 12: The atmosphere was serene and so was the raaga. And when Vidhya Dhar Vyas unfolded Multani in all its beauty, one felt quite soothed in the tranquil environs of the Ramakrishna Mission Ashram. Vyas8217;s concert, this evening, was part of the Ashram8217;s annual celebrations and was arranged by the Department of cultural Affairs of the Haryana government.
Vyas chose the Raag Multani and began unwindiing it in the evergreen Gokula Nath8230;8217;. If the first composition brought out the playfulness of the natkhat8217; Krishna, then the bandish8217; in the fast tempo filled one with the impending arrival of the rain, something one would have enjoyed on a hot evening like this.
