Value education
It was an experience for lifetime for the students of Singapore, who confessed that they have learnt more than any book could teach them about India. Kendriya Vidyalaya, Southern Command KVSC, had an interaction with students from four schools of Singapore. 8220;The Singapore students spend the day with us and participated in assembly as well as classes. After the traditional Indian welcome, both they and KV students performed during the cultural programme,8221; says Anita Bansode, teacher, KV. After getting introduced to the Indian education system and the curriculum followed, Eveline, teacher from Singapore says that they found the education level quite high here. As what an11-year-old learns in India, that is taught to a 16-yaer-old in Singapore. 8220;I like the news bulletin practice, as it is very informative,8221; observes Eveline. There was a candid interaction with the teachers and students where they also discussed ways of punishments followed here. Students of age group 13 years-15 years participated in the interaction.
