CHANDIGARH, JUNE 11: The city police have arrested six persons from Dadumajra for indulging in rioting and assault. Those arrested include Ram Anjur, Rai Birender Singh, Ramesh Kumar, Ravi Shankar and Shiv Nardan.

1 held for theft

  • A sector 20 resident, Jeewan Lal, has been arrested for his alleged involvement in theft of jewellery and other items nearly two weeks ago. The police are investigating the case.

    • Held for obscenity

  • Tribune colony resident, Anil Kumar, has been arrested for allegedly uttering obsecene words with intention to insult a woman. A case has been registered under Section 509 of the Indian Penal Code.

    • Car stolen

  • Sector 61 resident, K. L. Gulati, has reported to the police that his Maruti car CH-01-D-2204 has been stolen. A theft case has been registered.
