A 22-year-old Sikh student in Scotland was assaulted by a group of thugs that accused him of concealing a bomb in his turban.

A 22-year-old Sikh student in Scotland was assaulted by a group of thugs that accused him of concealing a bomb in his turban.

The group battered Lakhivar Singh, doing his post-graduation at Paisley University, as he was waiting for a bus after finishing work as a part-time shelf stacker.

Police said the thugs ripped off Singh8217;s turban, punched him in the face and kicked him as he lay on the ground at one of Paisley8217;s shopping centres last week, till security guards chased them away.

Singh, who arrived in Scotland about six months ago to do his post-graduation in finance told the Daily Record: 8220;at one point I thought I would be killed in the attack.
