Amit Uchil helped himself to four goals as Pune City scored a resounding 7-2 win over Pune District to remain unbeaten and in the process clinch the Pune University Inter-Zonal football meet the Pune University ground today. With this win Pune City ended up with nine points. Pune City: 7 Amit Uchil 4, Kuldeep Bagwe, Venkatest Thissur, Vikram Rathod b Pune District: 2 Prashant Sasane, Vinay Pillay. Nashik: 1 Santosh K b Ahmednagar: 0.

Pune City hockey team
The University of Pune today announced a 19-member Pune City Zonal hockey squad, including four standbys for the forthcoming Inter-Zonal championship to be held at S P College from September 27 and 28. All the players have been asked to report at Symbiosis Law College ground on September 26 at 10.00 a.m.

VOBA scraps I Div tourney
The executive committee of VOBA, in their meeting today, decided not to conduct a tournament for the PDFA I Division teams during the forthcoming K P Jadhav football tournament, scheduled from September 29.

Somnath Hegde, secretary VOBA, informed that the meet will be held for II and III Division teams as per last year.
