Gurgaon in final
Consistent batting by Parshant Ahlawat 35, Devashish 31 and Bhuvanesh Sharma 32 not out helped Gurgaon enter the final of Haryana state inter-district tournament for the Pataudi Trophy by beating last year8217;s champions Chandigarh by three wickets.

Chandigarh, led by former India speedster Chetan Sharma and having in its ranks current Ranji players including Vineet Jain, R P Singh and Ravinder Nain, were restricted to 155 in the stipulated 40 overs. Devinder Dahiya 3 for 27, Sonu Sharma 3 for 28 and Surinder Kataria 2 for 24 were the main wicket-takers.

Gurgaon reached 158 for seven with five balls to spare.

Zakir Hussain College entered the semifinal of WAAS inter-college basketball tournament beating Bhagat Singh College 54-40. In other matches, Khalsa College bt Satyawati 52-40 and bt PGDAV Eve 43-18 to qualify for quatterfinals, Venkateswara bt Ramjas 51-37, KM College entered the last eight stage beating Bhagat Singh College 55-50.

Gyan Bharati advance
The match between Gyan Bharati and Lovely Public School in the Radha Kishan memorial tournament ended in a tie with the former entering the quarter-finals.
