Saloni’s feat
Eight-year-old Saloni Dalal bagged the youngest tri-athlete award at the National Triathlon championship held at Chennai, recently.Saloni, who is a third standard student of St Mary Immaculate High School (Borivli), was placed 14th out of a total of 26 participants. She had also bagged the youngest tri-athlete prize in the State Meet at Pune.

Bandra Gym tennis
The Bandra Gymkhana-conducted JS Pereira Memorial All-India tennis championships will be held from November 22 to 27 with the leading players, who had participated in the ITF, confirming their entries. The winner will receive Rs 13,000 while the runners-up gets Rs 9,000. The qualifying round will be held from November 19. Entries will be accepted at the MSLTA and Bandra Gymkhana.

Nathan Astle best
Nathan Astle is the BPL Player of the Week for the period November 5 to 11. Astle has been the mainstay of the New Zealand batting in the One-day series against India. His stroke-filled knock of 120 and threevital wickets at Rajkot, paved the way for a Kiwi victory. In the One-day tie in Gwalior, he was the only batsman to resist the Indian bowling with a fine 97. Astle will receive $ 500.

Schools Athletics
The MSSA-Colgate 106th annual Inter-School Athletic championship, sponsored by Colgate-Palmolive, will be held from December 16 to 20 at the University Stadium, Marine Lines. Entries will be accepted between November 22 to 26.
