Ladies8217; snooker tourney

The Bombay Gymkhana, Mumbai8217;s premier sporting club, is once again holding the All-India Open prize-money snooker tournament for ladies from May 3 to 8.This is the only prize-money tournament for ladies with prize-money of Rs 25,000. The last date for entries is April 27.

Ranking tennis

The sub-junior and mini junior National ranking tennis championship, sponsored by Lions Club of Andheri, will be conducted by Practennis School of Tennis at HMP School, Bhawan8217;s compound, Andheri W, Mumbai 400 058.

The tournament will commence on April 24 and the final will be played on May 1. The events will be boys and girls under-14 and under-16 singles and doubles.

Camp Notes

Jayesh Udeshi will conduct a summer cricket coaching camp for boys aged between 7 and 20 years, at the Fort Vijay Cricket Club ground, Azad maidan, from 7.00 a.m. to 9.15 a.m. from April 15 to May 31. Those interested should contact Tel: 205 1010.

The Bombay YMCA, Navi Mumbai branchsituated at CBD Belapur, will be imparting training in basketball, table tennis, roller-skating, chess, badminton and swimming for children and adults of New Bombay, starting April 19. An exclusive learn-to-swim for ladies and men will also be conducted. For details contact the YMCA, Sector 8, CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai or call 757 2930, 757 2241.
