Controversial RJD MP Mohammed Shahabuddin on Monday landed in fresh trouble with police filing a chargesheet against him for allegedly abusing and threatening to kill the Superintendent of Siwan Jail, where he is being held.
Officer-in-charge of Siwan Muffasil Police Station J.P. Shahi filed the chargesheet in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate A.K. Barial after a report by the District Superintendent of Police Sunil Kumar, who found the allegations against the MP to be true.
The chargesheet was filed under Sections 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation), 189 (threat of injury to public servant) and 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty) of the Indian Penal Code.
