MUSSOORIE, Oct 3: Siddharth Rao could scarcely believe his luck when the black ball wobbled in the jaws. He was on 21 in the six-frame, an excellent position to clear the balls and eventually the match. That was not to be.

It was the third time he missed black in similar fashion in the match. Alok Kumar grabbed the opportunity to win the sixth frame and in the decider, he made a superb run of 75 to win the match in the S Chand Jaypee Invitational Snooker Tournament at Residency Manor.

The break would have swelled to 141 had he not muffed an easy black and rest of the balls were yawning in the pockets. Kumar triumphed 45-76, 27-86, 88-12, 71-38, 29-62, 60-37, 75-0.
