8216;8216;Please start moving towards the door. I will do the same or we won8217;t be able to get down.8217;8217; This was the last message Hetal Kamdar 21 received from her boyfriend Kunal Shah 21 on Tuesday evening. It was also the last she would ever get from him

They were on their way to Goregaon on Tuesday evening, travelling in different compartments of the packed 5.45 pm Borivali-bound local from Dadar. Kamdar was reluctant to board the crowded local, but Shah insisted, boarded the gents8217; first class compartment and sent Kamdar to the ladies coach. Before Kamdar could answer his message, a blast ripped through Shah8217;s compartment near Khar station, killing him on the spot.

8216;8216;Hetal did not want to travel by that train as it was crowded. But Kunal forced her to,8217;8217; said Sneha Shah 32 , a relative of the Shahs. On hearing the sound of the blast, Kamdar kept searching for Kunal among the charred bodies strewn on the tracks. 8216;8216;Unable to find him, she rushed to V N Desai Hospital in Santacruz with people carrying blast victims for medication,8217;8217; Sneha added. The couple, who had known each other for over seven years, was known to be very close. 8216;8216;They were together since college and even did their MBA together in Pune. They returned from Pune two months back and were working in the same company in Dadar,8217;8217; Sneha recalled.

The news was broken to Kamdar only on Wednesday afternoon. 8216;8216;We kept telling her that he is in an ICU when Kunal was killed on the spot. I was the first one to recognise him in the hospital by his UTI card and shoes,8217;8217; Sneha said.
