LUCKNOW, MAY 13: A senior state Bahujan Samaj Party leader Vijay Pal Singh Yadav resigned from the primary membership of the party today claiming that there was no quot;inner party democracyquot; and that he was quot;feeling suffocated in itquot;.
Yadav told newsmen here that he was resigning from the party quot;as it had deviated from its path and was reduced to an organisation of a handful of people who just wanted to serve their personal interestsquot;.
quot; There is no inner party democracy in BSP and I feel suffocated in itquot;, he alleged.
Yadav, who had earlier held different posts in Samajwadi Party, said he has faxed his resignation to the BSP National Vice President Mayawati, who is presently in Delhi.
