BONN, JUNE 11: India faced its second straight defeat to Germany, losing 1-2 in the second tie of the four-match hockey Test series here today.
The Indians took early lead when Gagan Ajit Singh drew first blood in the 16th minute, but their perennial inability to convert penalty corners again showed up.
German full back Michael Bjorn scored both the goals by converting penalty corners as the tourists failed to convert any of the three penalty corners. Bjorn got the equaliser six minutes before halft-me when he converted the second penalty corner. He struck again in the 45th minute, to put the hosts in command.
