AMRITSAR, Feb 21: Jamia Millia College, New delhi beat P C College, Chennai 2-1 while the GGD SD College, Chandigarh enjoyed a convincing 9-0 win over MM College, Gwalior on the third day of the seventh Nehru-SAIL Champion Colleges hockey championship being played at the Guru Nanak Dev University sports stadium here.
Prabjot Singh of Jamia Millia scored both the goals 17th and 26th minute while S Ranganathan scored the lone goal 27th minute for the Chennai college.
The GGD SD College lads were on a goal-scoring spree today. Jasmeet Singh led the charge with five goals 16th, 20th, 29th, 34th and 60th minute, Kiranpal Singh 59th and 66th minute, Alpinder Singh 25th minute and Vikram Saini 50th minute were the other scorers.
DAV College, Jalandhar won the third match match, defeating LNIHE, Gwalior 9-0 in a one-sided affair. Yudhvir Singh scored three goals in the 15th, 21th and 58th minute while Ajitpal Singh 17th and 49th minute, Jugandip Singh 26th and 38th minute, Harminder Singh 31st and 34th minute scored two goals each.
