Sandeep wins

CHANDIGARH, Dec 8: Sandeep Duggal outclassed Ashok Khanna 60-7, 76-22, 48-20, to get a berth in the next round of the 16th Chandigarh State billiards and snooker championship being played at Chandigarh Billiards Coaching Centre in Sector 22 here today.

Sandeep, who did not have to sweat today, will face Rajeev Bhardwaj in his second encounter to be played tomorrow.

In another match Sameer Bhalla got the better of Rakesh Duggal 62-27, 56-42, 69-18.

Manish Shrivastava also scored a 3-1 victory over Ajay Chandel. Down by a frame 44-47, Manish bounced back on the winning track and pocketed the next three frames 58-37, 76-8, 109-12, to emerge victorious.

In billiards, Ajay Chandel made amends by scoring a 313-303 victory over Tarun Kumar. In another match Manish Shrivastava beat GB Singh 369-290.
